FAQ
Work and missionary visas are generally not required to visit us, volunteer, and receive education or training if needed. These voluntary activities can be extended from three to six months on the same type of entry visa. In some cases, a short trip to Korea may be required.
Long term jobs involving work with children require a minimum one-year commitment or longer from March to March or April. Work visa applicants are also subject to on-site training and screening through CTESOL here in Japan. Costs incurred for teacher training can be as low as $50 per week. If qualified, ELT Certificates can be issued with no less than two and a half months training. Interviews for national jobs are only conducted in-person in Osaka, Nagano, or Tokyo.
If you have any questions, please call with your caller ID turned on. Our international numbers are forwarded to us here at Tokyo time. We are not always available to receive your calls,
but we will try to call you back.
Thank you for your understanding.
